I am having difficulty trying to connect facebook messenger with inbox. I can’t find the settings where facebook messenger gives permission to shopify inbox
From your Shopify admin, click Facebook > Overview. In the Messenger section, click Set up to start. Click Confirm to authorize Shopify Inbox to work with Messenger.
Click Go to Facebook to set up your Messenger button. Your business’s Facebook page must have a Message us button to complete this step.
Click Go to Shopify Inbox to log in to Shopify Inbox to complete your Messenger setup.
Click Finish on the Set up Facebook Messenger page.
Which web browser are you using? I suggest clearing your browser cache and making sure you are operating on the latest version of Google Chrome. When you use a browser, like Chrome, it saves some information from websites in its cache and cookies. Clearing them fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites.
I’m having the same issue. Tried Firefox, and new install of Edge, and the Shopify app on my phone. All failed. I can’t get IG to connect either, it actually give me an error on that one.
As of July 2023, the Facebook & Instagram Messenger Channel is no longer supported by Shopify Inbox.
What does this mean?
This means that messages coming from Instagram and Facebook will no longer be accessible from Shopify Inbox.
