Went to contact Shopify as it is calculating my sales tax incorrectly, and I can’t access the support chat. It just sends me in circles, and there is no phone number or email address. What the heck?

I understand what you mean. That is why I created a page about this in my website here.
You should go to Shopify support here. After you logged in and select the store, you should be directed to this page below
Click the Starting a store, then you should be directed to another page. Scroll down until you see the choices below. I always use “Chat with us” For me it is faster and convenient
