Cant add section in home page Debutify Theme

Hello Everyone! I am hoping someone can help me.

i want to add slideshow to my homepage but i cant found add section in homepage

btw im others page i found it and working

but home page cant found it

I found a temporary solution…you can edit the code of the index.json file and add the various sections to both the sections object and the order array. Hope this helps! You may need to look at the product.json file to understand the proper formating.

We are still to confirm if this is the case, but Shopify updated the theme editor and it seems that themes have to be uploaded with at least one default section from now on.

To restore the “Add section” button, please go to your Shopify dashboard > Themes > Click on the three dots of the desired theme and go on “Edit code”.

Search for the index.json file, and copy & paste the following code.

This will manually add a slideshow section to your store and the add section button will appear below it.

You will be able to delete the slideshow section, however, only after a second section is added because the theme needs at least one section.

Debutify will also add a default section for future theme downloads.

This worked for me but it changes my logo into text instead of an image. Please take a look. I literally just replaced the code you provided with the one in index.json.

Hey @shipperofdrop ,

The transparent header is enabled on your theme. In this case, there are two options.

For the first one you can disable the transparent header by going to the theme settings > advanced settings > uncheck the “Enable on desktop” option.

The second option is to add an inverted logo, the logo that will appear when the header is transparent.

You can go to sections > header > add image to “Inverted”.

I copy pasted the code, the add section button is here, but i cant add sections. There is “Something went wrong” message
