How can I add a plus sign to my product photos so they can be added to the cart?

This feature is available in some themes by default like impulse and prestige.
If you are using the same please check the theme settings to enable it.
But if you are using a different one then you need to ask a developer to enable it.

in order to make sure when we click on the “+“ icon then our product goes to cart for this we need to do the custom coding.
