Situation.
NOT located in the US.
Payment gateway 2checkout (only one that supports CC for my region).
2 Checkout only supports processing in USD or other foreign currency so I cannot set my currency to my local currency cart will not process the payment.
Shopify Markets will NOT allow me to change the default market to my country as it automatically selects Markets based on store currency.
Issues,
Local customers would see random fluctuating prices as the currency converter apps changes with active rates, (I’m sure I can find one to keep a stead rate not so much an issue right now)
Store defaults each customer that signs up to mailing list as a US customer, sometimes does NOT allow customer to change this setting even after account is created. It seems as if the customer creates the account first then sign up they can change their location (there for market).
Because we don’t ship to the US these customers who signs up for mailing list before account is not allowed to checkout.
My questions to Shopify support is why don’t you allow us to select different Market and Currency ?
Why do you not offer a built in Currency converter for those of us that is NOT using shopify payments seeing that it is not available worldwide.
To the general community has anyone encountered similar issues ? If so how was it resolved ?
