Can't deactivate extra Shopify store due to forgotten password, any solutions?

Anyone else here who is ready to change the whole entire store due to this awful help line service? I only get a bot or sorry, something went wrong whenever I need help. I think they should improve on this…Just had a mishap with Canva, they answered within seconds, solved and resolved everything in minutes. I hate, hate businesses that are big and successful but do not care about those who made them big and successful.

First of here is my problem. I have started two stores initially, by mistake. One I started developing, other is still there on 1dollar per month plan, but coming up to the paid version. I want to deactivate it, but I can’t remember my password or whatever they did to make it impossible. This annoys me so much. If I cant remember the password, give me a way to recover or something, don’t make me be stuck with your services against my will.

I wish someone would get in touch and solved it with me. Pressing help is useless since day 1.

Awaiting some support.

Hey @sally777
Yes many people have concern about the shopify help. did you tried to ask the bot to connect me with a real person? in most cases bot connect with real person.
I am happy to assist you but your problem can be solved by the shopify support.

Hi, @sally777 .

Thanks for posting to the Shopify Community and sharing your question.

I can definitely understand the concern and urgency to have this looked into and deactivate the second account.

You mentioned you’re not able to remember the password for the second account. I recommend following the steps in our Reset your forgotten password resource to ensure you’re able to log back in.

For better visibility, I’ll share those steps below.

On a desktop (we also have the mobile version steps listed in the resource I shared above):

  • From the Shopify login page, enter your store address and click Next.

  • Enter your login email and click Next.

  • Click Forgot password?.

  • Enter the email that you used to create your Shopify account.

  • Click Reset password.

  • You’re sent an email with a link to reset your password. In the email, click Reset password.

  • Enter your new password in the Confirm password field.

  • Click Reset password.

  • Go back to your Shopify login page and log in with your new password.

If you’re unable to reset your forgotten password, you can connect with our team via the Shopify Help Center. From there, please type your question in the chat box to the Help Center Assistant in order to be connected to a Support Advisor.

I hope these steps have helped!
