Can't disable domain redirection

Disabling auto-redirection in markets is not working - it still redirects to the primary domain no matter what you do.

As well as this I can’t find the disable redirection button that used to exist under domains. It’s pretty shocking if this functionality has been removed, I’ve worked with Shopify for years building websites for clients that range from $10,000 to $250,000, there is a huge amount of trust placed in the fact that the functionality in place when discussions first begin around which platform is best for a client will still be there when development begins.

It’s common to spend $50,000 on the discovery phase, scoping, app selection, design, wireframing, order flow, development estimates, before even commencing development or creating a store. It is a huge risk if functionality that was essential to a pitch for Shopify is removed during the pre-development phase.

From what I can tell the new button in markets to disable auto-redirects should produce the same outcome of allowing users on two domains to shop in the same currency without being redirected to the primary store domain. Essentially doing the same job as the “disable redirection” button used to do in domains.

Does anyone know why this is still redirecting? and if it’s not to do the same job, can Shopify please explain why disabling redirection was removed? This functionality is essential for Shopify, different sales channels can be setup on different domains to track their sessions/performance separately, if they automatically redirect you can no longer do that.
