Can't fulfill an order because Shopify says product doesn't exist on my inventory

Topic summary

Users are experiencing an error when trying to fulfill TikTok Shop orders through Shopify. The system displays a message stating the product doesn’t exist in Shopify inventory, even though the products are confirmed to be present in the Shopify admin and properly stocked.

Key Details:

  • The issue affects orders from TikTok Shop integrated with Shopify
  • Products are sourced from CJDropshipping and exist in Shopify’s product catalog
  • Multiple users report the problem started around mid-January 2024 (week of 1/15/24)
  • Previously working orders are now failing, suggesting a recent platform change

Suggested Workaround:
One user found a manual solution: access the order details through TikTok’s message center (via “contact buyer” → “view order”), then manually create and mark the order as paid in Shopify before shipping.

Current Status:
The issue remains unresolved with users requesting Shopify support investigation. The timing suggests a possible API update may have disrupted the TikTok-Shopify integration.

Hello,

I don’t use dropshipping but i did get the same popup. The workaround was to click contact buyer in tiktok, but instead of writing a message, click on view order or order number in the message center. This is where i would find customers name and address to ship. I created an order in shopify with marked as paid, and then i shipped the item.
