same here - it turns out the 550 will work with Shopify but not Stocky - words can’t express my frustration with a company that just can’t get all their heads together when writing code for apps to work together. Their answer is always buy this buy that , pretty soon you have every printer and paper size known to mankind.
Shopify makes big steps with AI and other things. However some very simple basics that have been know problems for a long time are simply overlooked. It might not be a big problem for Shopify but I is a BIG problem for there users.
Come on Shopify, Dot the i’s and fill in the gaps. DON’t leave us hanging !!!
I’m still very happy with the rest, fix
this.
I keep seeing this but why pay for something that should commonly come with a POS system? Printing from a PO is vital to a POS. Shopify has no way to do it and Stocky is ridiculously challenging. I was able to DL the older label writer and it sees my printer (4XL) but Stocky still wont see it
If I do this do you select the PO from shopify or stocky?
I have a Mac and a 4XL and I also can’t print from Stocky, so I wish that were true.
“…only Mac users can successfully print labels directly from the Stocky app when using a 450 or 4XL Dymo label printer.”
I don’t know. Just giving people an option so they aren’t stuck. We print tens of thousands of labels every month. The app solved our issue. That is all.
It’s an app within Shopify that talks to Stocky to pull up the POs that have been created in Stocky.
Are you on a Mac? and using either a Dymo 400 or 550?
Any fixes yet? I don’t want to have to buy another printer just to have it be a paperweight!!!
Why does SHOPIFY RARELY LISTEN to their clients? I have had multiple issues with the platform including DYMO issues. I went through 3 printers that were reccomended by Shopify support agents only to find out that they were incompatible with Stocky(I did mention that I was trying to use stocky on a Windows PC) Finally I landed withthe Dymo Wireless which worked fine…Once…then stocky refuses to see the dymo printer and I spoend hours trying to connect it, To print out barcode labels on a received PO is essential…Not to have this run efficiently is unacceptable for a progam and printer that shopify tries to pawn off on you and when there is an issue, support is useless.
Im having the same issue where Stocky wont recognize the DYMO wireless printer - how did you fix this
When suggesting using the Retail Barcode Labels app (above), do we still have to go from Stocky, back into Shopify, and then print all the labels on a product by product basis? Or is there a way to use this app directly from Stocky to print lablels?
