I am trying to run a Meta ad but i get this warning where nothing can display due to an item being out of stock, I cannot see what is out of stock, but how do i get shopify to avoid or remove out of stock items, or hide them so meta ads can run?
This is a pretty common Meta + Shopify issue, so you’re not alone. Usually the block comes from one product in the connected Meta catalog being marked out of stock, even if it’s not obvious in the ad set. A quick fix is to go into Commerce Manager → Catalog → Data Sources, then filter products by availability = out of stock and either remove them or set inventory to “continue selling when out of stock” in Shopify (temporarily, if needed). Also double-check your product set filters—make sure it’s set to availability = in stock. Once the catalog re-syncs, the warning usually clears and ads start running again.
