Can't see product review bar on Turbo theme, need coding help?

Can someone please help with the code for adding the Product Review bar to our website? We added the Products Review app and are following the directions but the bar doesn’t show up after copying and pasting the link. Is there something wrong with our code? We use Turbo theme.

There is a chance that your Turbo Theme may be playing a role in the reviews appearing as expected, but I noticed from the screenshot of the coding that you shared that you seem to be missing the line of code needed for your product reviews to be visible. I have ‘Product Reviews’ available in my own store, and I checked out the line of coding that was included in the ‘Install Instructions’ and it doesn’t match anything that it present within your screenshot. So it looks like you’ve got the correct section of coding there, it’s just missing the correct added line of code.

I’d like you to try out these steps below, but please make a backup of your theme before doing any coding changes, just in case something goes haywire.

  • Login to your Admin and go to ‘Apps’ and click on ‘Product reviews’

  • Click on ‘Settings’ and then click on ‘Install Instructions’

  • Find the section where it states to copy the outlined code

  • Navigate back to the section from your screenshot and add the copied code snippet underneath the area outlined as ‘Product description’

  • Navigate back to your ‘Product Reviews’ settings area, then back into the ‘Install Instructions’ section, and click the ‘Verify’ button that appears at the bottom of the page.

Give these steps a try, and let me know how things go!

Hi @Imogen_1 thanks for taking the time to respond! So I went in there and followed your steps, here is a screenshot of the code below, clicked verify and it said “App successfully installed” but still not seeing it on the site. Any advice from here?

I appreciate you sharing that snippet of your code there. Funnily enough, the coding your showing me looks nothing like the coding within the install instructions for the Product Reviews that I’m using within my store. I believe that this is because your Turbo theme, is a third party theme, so the steps surrounding it’s installation may be different than why trying to install it into a Shopify-made theme.

I consulted with some folks, and we believe that your best next steps to take here are to reach out to our Live Support Team, so they can get in touch with our Theme Team, as they should be able to assist you directly with getting those reviews appearing as needed within your store. Hi @Imogen_1 I don’t think I found the live support, I believe I posted in the same discussion board. Sorry for the dumb question haha. Do you mind providing more detail or another link to find live support? This is where I was led in the last link

@Imogen_1 On another note, we’ve had some trouble connecting our business bank account. Back when we opened it and connected it, we had failed payouts because we were missing a document for our business account. Once resolved, I tried again and it wouldn’t work so the bank suggested I switch the payouts to my personal account and back to the business account to see if it would work that way. Long story short it didn’t and I’ve been getting payouts to my personal account and transferring them over to the business account. As business is picking up and for accounting reasons this is obviously not feasible. Would you be able to advise on this? This is the message we get when trying to switch. Thanks in advance!
