I am currently creating names for my products, but I am confused about product naming. Particularly about first letter capitalization. I often see on other websites that products have each word capitalized in the product name. For example: “This Is Product Name Test” Why is it like that?
Should I name my products in this format “This Is Product Name Test” or this one: “This is product name test”

Thanks for your question. I’m not sure that there is a right or wrong answer here as all the years I’ve been helping merchants launch their webstores I have also seen both variations of product naming.
There is no one standard fits all and there is certainly no particular naming convention that you have to follow. What I can do is share my thought process when I built my own store. I chose to capitalize each word in my product title because I treated it much like any title.
Now, there are some rules with capitalizing in a title that you may already be familiar with, but I might argue those don’t always apply for product titles. It comes down to preference and aesthetic - what suits your theme style best. Perhaps play with both, and see which words stick out and try variations of each. Remember, you only have a few seconds to capture your audience’s attention so being thoughtful will always pay off.
