Since the 22nd June, we have experienced on multiple merchants that Shopify Checkout have been sending incorrect “destination”. The example below is showing that Shopify sends us
Wrong zipcode and city
Missing address 1, company name, etc.
Have anyone been experiencing the same issue. We have tried to get Shopify to solve this without luck.
The error has not been located either.
Time is passing and it is bad for our merchants. The issues are more and more visible and it is a mess.
Besides, Shopify Checkout is trying to guess where the customer is from and using the guessed result to send to Carrier Service. When I use the data connection on my phone, the check out guessed that I am 200 km away from my location, and the shipping rates are also incorrect because of that.
Please raise the priority on this error so that we can have it fixed as soon as possible.
We are having the same issue; it’s hurting our sales and conversion rate, as well as creating a bad experience for returning customers especially. The back-up solution of creating manual shipping methods is a deterrent since our customers are used to having the opportunity to choose their exact pick-up location - which currently isn’t possible. This needs to be resolved immediately!
We’re currently handling a lot of our packing labels manually as the suggested pickup points given in checkout is beyond any acceptable distance for our customers.
We’re spending so much time handling inquires from confused customers on top of being nervous what the bug causes in terms of conversions and lost revenue in the long run.
It’s the same for us.
We daily have customers who complain about the problem and we are lose revenue as it keeps customers from shopping on our webshop. Really hope Shopify takes the problem seriously and finds a solution ASAP !!

We are experiencing the same issue Causing lower conversion rate and frustration by customers who cannot choose the right parcel shop to pick up their order from.
This is very very critical and needs to be fixed asap! This affect our conversion and turnover and it’s SO frustrating that you’re not getting this problem solved NOW!!
I have issues with customers not being able to choose a GLS shop in the right city/same city as their own address - and the options Shopify suggest is faaar away from their hometowns.
It’s essential to get this issue fixed asap, as customers give up on their orders cause of this. Thank you.

In my webshop (rikkesbutik.dk) we have the same issue. Please fix ASAP as it is extremely hurtfull for our conversion rate. Only reason I found out is because 3 helpfull customers wrote me an email and informed about the critical problem.
I don’t even want to think about the amount of potential customers, who left the shop without placing an order…
