Categories and Sub Categories With Images on pages

Hey Everyone, really hoping someone on here might be able to help.

I am wanting to have my menu set up with images on the home page rather than a side or drop down menu.

For example if it was a clothing store on the home page you might have

( Mens ) ( women ) ( children ) as your main categories then when you click on say Women it will take you to a page then with your collections for example tops, pants, dresses etc. Exactly how it would work if it was on a drop down menu but set up as pictures starting from the home page. At the moment I can only seem have my collections on the home page but need the main categories listed first that then take you to the collections after choosing which categories I.e womens.

To set up your menu with images on the home page, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Shopify admin and click on Online store > Navigation.
  2. Create a new menu or edit an existing menu.
  3. Add a new menu item and enter the name of your main category (e.g. Women) in the “Name” field.
  4. Click on the “Link” field and select “Collections” from the drop-down menu.
  5. Choose the collection that you want to link to (e.g. Tops).
  6. Upload the image that you want to use for the category by clicking on “Choose image” under the “Image” section.
  7. Save the menu item and repeat the process for the other categories.

Once you have added all your main categories with images, they will appear on your home page. When a customer clicks on a category, they will be taken to the relevant collection page with the subcategories listed.
