Category issues - Dawn theme

I am launching a subscription service and trying to create a page that shows the categories of products available for the subscription.

I have set up a category page for the subscription and want to show the subcategories on the page rather than as a menu.

It allows me to set this up in the theme, but it won’t show on my live site.

Any ideas on what’s going wrong? or is this theme just not up to the job?

Hi @Steve123

Here’s a simple and friendly response:

It sounds like you want to show subcategories on your category (collection) page, but they aren’t appearing on your live site. The Dawn theme doesn’t have built-in support for subcategories, but here are a few ways to make it work:

  1. Use the Collection List Section – Instead of a single category page, you can add a “Collection List” section to show subcategories.
  2. Manually Link Subcategories – Create separate collections for subcategories and add links to them on your main category page.
  3. Check Theme Settings – If you’ve already set this up but it’s not working, make sure the section is properly added and saved in your theme customizer.
  4. Custom Code (If Needed) – If you want a fully automated subcategory system, a bit of custom coding or an app might help.

Let me know if you need more details!
Thank you
