I’m new here, but I’ve been developing Shopify websites for a bit now. One thing that has really been bothering me lately is the category metafields, they are so useful, very versatile, but there’s one small dilemma. Something that I really care about is organization, having things in a certain order, not only for visual appearance, but for ease of use.
**Hoping that we can get an update to re-organize the order A-Z, of our category metafields on the product pages.**
Other than this, I am really enjoying using Shopify, this tool has helped motivate me in many ways to be creative.
the order of category metafields on Shopify product pages is currently controlled by the system and cannot be manually re-organized into an A-Z list.
While there is no native setting to change this sorting yet, many developers use pinning to keep their most important fields at the top for better organization.
Also, for future references, text would do just fine, no need to format it
I saw the pinning later, really sucks when you set it up a different way, and then find out later that it would’ve been easier to select the “all product” meta fields. I don’t understand why there just shouldn’t be an option for both. It would be nice to have 2 boxes of organization windows if necessary.
