Change arrow on related products section dawn theme

Topic summary

Goal: make the arrows in the product page’s Related products section look like the arrows already customized in the Featured collection on the landing page (Shopify Dawn theme). Images were provided to show the desired and current designs; store URL and password were shared for reference.

Key technical point: this isn’t a simple CSS tweak. It likely requires replacing the current Related products implementation with a carousel and then aligning/positioning the navigation buttons to match the homepage styling. “Carousel” refers to a sliding product list with next/prev controls.

Status: no code solution or steps were posted. Both replies indicate theme code edits are needed in the theme editor and suggest developer involvement or collaborator access to implement the change.

Outcome and next actions:

  • Switch Related products to a carousel layout.
  • Apply button styling and alignment consistent with the Featured collection.
  • Grant collaborator access or engage a developer to modify the Dawn theme code.

Resolution: not yet achieved; discussion remains open with offers of assistance but no finalized implementation.

Hello @JordiP ,

Good question.

btw this type of customization needs a developer.
Here first you need to switch the existing code with a carousel one.

Then we can align the buttons as you did in the homepage.

If you need help with code part you can drop me an email.

You can find the email in the signature below.

Thanks

To get inside the code, I will need collaborator access to your store. If it was just some css then probably won’t have needed this but this requires editing code in your theme editor
