How do I reword this
The product in your cart is not available for delivery to your location.
Change delivery address or empty cart and return to store.
It turns customers off. Something like:
The product in your cart is only available for pick up in store.
Sounds more pleasing.

Please go to Actions (…) > Edit default theme content > Checkout & system > Checkout merchandise unavailable in buyer location. You can try changing the text here:

You can absolutely reword that message to make it sound friendlier and less discouraging — but keep in mind that most checkout notifications like this are system-generated and can’t be directly edited unless you’re on Shopify Plus or using a custom app/script.
Here are a few ways you can handle it:

If you’re on Shopify Plus:
You can customize the text through your checkout.liquid file or Checkout Extensibility settings.

If not on Plus:
You can add a custom message on the cart page or a popup/note near the shipping selector that explains the situation in a more positive way, for example:
“Some products in your cart are available for in-store pickup only.”
“This product is currently available for pickup only — please update your delivery method below.”
Your revised version sounds great — it’s friendly and informative:
“The product in your cart is only available for pickup in store.”
