We have recently set up local pick up on our shopify store (testing on one live location)
We have no issues with the shopify side of things per se, it’s our 3rd part order management system (linnworks) that has the issue.
Everything flows into shopify correctly and the order enters shopify POS as a pick up order, however Linnworks cannot differentiate between normal online orders and local pick up orders. The order is then being mapped to a warehouse and sent out for delivery to the customer as well as actually being prepared in store for collection.
Local pick up orders don’t have a shipping address obviously, so somehow linnworks is bypassing the blank shipping address, and taking the billing address as where to send the order.
We want linnworks to ignore local pick up orders altogether , but we don’t know how to give linnworks the correct information to do so.
One idea we had is to see if there is a way through shopify to automatically populate shipping address as ‘local pick up’ on shopify if indeed the order is a local pick up. this way, linnworks will work correctly.
