I have a set of 25 products that I want to change shipping profile, How to do? I can’t seem to change the shipping profile on the product page. When I go to settings to mess with shipping settings, I don’t want to change site-wide settings, just for a certain 25 products.

please advise,

Hey, I saw your post and while shipping settings aren’t my core focus, I actually specialize in improving Shopify stores with things like custom websites and AI chatbots that help answer customer questions 24/7—like explaining shipping policies automatically. If that’s something you’d find useful, I’d be happy to show you a free demo.

I didn’t ask for solicitations. I asked for help with a simple task.

Hello @Bob_Tema

Shopify doesn’t let you swap a product’s shipping profile right from its product page—you manage shipping profiles as groups of products inside the Shipping and Delivery settings. To move just those 25 items to their own profile, here’s what you’ll do:

1. First, create (or edit) a custom shipping profile:

  • In your Shopify Admin, go to Settings → Shipping and delivery.
  • Under Shipping profiles, click Create new profile (or click an existing custom profile if you already have one you want to use).
  • Give that profile a name like “Special 25 Items” so you can recognize it later.

2. Next, assign those 25 products to this profile:

  • While still inside your new profile, look for the section labeled Products. Click Add products.
  • In the pop-up, search for each of your 25 SKUs (you can filter by vendor or tag if you’ve tagged them as a group). Select all of them and click Add.
  • Once those products are added, Shopify automatically removes them from your default profile. You’ll see them listed under this custom profile’s product list.

3. Finally, define the shipping rules just for that profile:

  • Still in the same profile, scroll to Shipping to (domestic zones) or Shipping from (origin). Set the rates or carriers you want to apply specifically to these 25 items—anything you choose here won’t affect the rest of your store.
  • If you need international rates, add or edit the “Rest of World” (or whatever zones you’ve set) inside this profile as well.\

Save your changes, and you’re done.

Hey @Bob_Tema ,

You’re right, the product page itself doesn’t let you switch shipping profiles directly.

Here’s how you can update the shipping profile for a specific group of products:

  1. Go to Settings > Shipping and Delivery

  2. Under Shipping profiles, choose the profile you want those 25 products to be in, or create a new one.

  3. In that profile, scroll to Products, click “Add products” and select the ones you want to move in.

  4. Once you save, Shopify will automatically remove those products from their previous shipping profile.

It’s not the most intuitive process, but it works!

Just a heads-up, if you’re managing multiple profiles and zones, apps like ParcelPanel Order Tracking can help make things smoother on the customer side especially if they’re ordering products with different shipping setups.

Hope this helps!
