Is there a way to change the “from” email address that the customer sees when you send them a message through the order page so that it does not say shopifyemail ?
Open your store open setting > go to notification > goto sender email section and add your email.
Please be aware that in order to improve deliverability, Shopify still employs a system relay address for manual messages sent straight from the order page. Copying the customer’s email and contacting them directly from your company email inbox is the easiest strategy to avoid using this relay address for manual messages.
@offroadjim Shopify uses the generic ‘shopifyemail.com’ address when you’re store tries to send from an unverified domain.
If you try to send from something like a gmail address it will always get changed to shopifyemail instead.
To correctly send emails from your own address, you need to first make sure you are using a custom domain (for example, make sure to use something like [email removed] rather than [email removed] then you also need to set up verification for your custom domain, see Shopify’s guide for this here:
The email address your customers see as the sender depends on the sender email configured in your Shopify admin.
If your store is using a public email provider (such as Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo) as the sender email, Shopify is unable to authenticate it for custom email sending. In this case, Shopify sends emails from a Shopify-managed address (for example, store+xxxx@shopifyemail.com) to help ensure reliable email delivery.
If you would like customers to see your actual email address instead, we recommend using an email address associated with your store’s custom domain (for example, offroadjim@yourstore.com) and completing the domain authentication in Shopify.
Once the custom domain email is properly configured and authenticated, Shopify will be able to send customer emails using your sender address.

That’s the right place to start. You can go to Settings → Notifications → Sender email and set the email address you want your store notifications to come from.
One thing to keep in mind is that Shopify still uses a relay email address for manual messages sent directly from the order page to help with email deliverability. If you want the customer to receive an email directly from your business email address, the simplest approach is to copy the customer’s email and send the message from your own email client instead.
Also, make sure your sender email domain is properly authenticated (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC where applicable), as this can further improve email deliverability and reduce the chances of messages ending up in spam.
Those reports are normal. They are automatically sent by email providers like Google and Yahoo to help you monitor your domain’s email authentication.
If you don’t want to receive them, you will need to remove the reporting email address (the rua value) from your DMARC record in your domain’s DNS settings.
If you would like to keep the reports, you can change the reporting email address to a separate mailbox so they don’t clutter your main inbox.
yep you can change this in your shopify admin under settings > general. there’s a “sender email” field that controls what customers see as the from address on notifications. if you want order-page messages specifically to come from a different address, check settings > notifications too.
one heads up though, if you use a custom domain email (like hello@yourbrand.com) you’ll need to verify it first. shopify will send a confirmation link to that address. otherwise it defaults to the store owner email which is probably not what you want customers seeing.
