I made critical changes and additions to the product pages but they don’t show on the published site. The additions can be found in the product.json file but not on the site. I already duplicated and republished the theme multiple times, downloaded and uploaded the Zip-file of the theme yet nothing works. Very frustrating!

That does sound frustrating but i’m thinking that maybe you have been using the wrong theme contexts, or even theme templates.
