Changing Ira Theme Carousal Slideshow: buttons and slide transitions

Hi!

I am using the Ira theme for my product website and the slideshow has been giving me a hard time especially when viewing on a phone.

Issues:

  1. The tiny, circular slideshow toggles are opaque pink for current slide and translucent pink on other slides; but opaque/translucent white on mobile. This make them very hard to select when the background is white.

  2. The slideshow keeps the current slide for longer than the 10secs I set. I think it might be once a toggle is selected, it gets stuck on that slide. Or maybe because the mouth/cursor is hovering over it. I would rather have it so that the slides just change after 10sec and doesn’t get affected when there is a cursor hovering over.

  3. The slideshow link button position is currently at the bottom-center position. It, however, is not sitting as low as I would like, again, particularly when viewing on mobile. No mater how I change the mobile viewing height it still cuts some part of my images off too much.

What I would like to achieve:

  1. Take out the tiny, round slideshow transitioning toggles completely

  2. Add something so that the slideshow does not stop at the current slide and changes to the next after 10sec.

  3. Add another function so that viewer can click left to go back to the previous slide, and right to go to the next slide.

  4. Edit the slideshow link button alignment lower and more towards the edge of the slideshow limit.

  5. Also just noticed that the favicon appears different in the mobile view. It still has the old image. I would like to have it changed to the new one.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @asun100

We need to check the slider library used in the theme and customize the JS code to make it work as you mentioned. If you can customize the code then you can do otherwise you should hire a developer to do it.

Favicon you can change in the Customize option

Ha! I was thinking if that’s the case after I got done typing the initial post and then started looking the likelihood of having to do that… :joy:

I figured lol.

As for the favicon, no, I changed it in the panel but it won’t change the mobile view.
