Changing the Button Width and Height on Add to Cart and Buy it Now

Hello,

I’m trying to decrease the padding on the Buy it Now and Add to Cart Buttons on my product pages (the space between the Add to Cart and Buy It Now words and the edges of the button). I am using the Brooklyn theme. I tried a code I found from a similiar post on here, but it messed up the look of the site, so I had to remove it. I was hoping someone can assist?
