I just received a chargeback email sent to my “Contact Us” email.
However I don’t have any orders at my store since just opened the store for few days. And the detail of the chargeback email is the same as the test mode order i did a week ago, which i used credit card number ended with 0259 to simulate a disputed transaction.
Per checked with Shopify, no real email should be sent for test mode order. Is it a scam email? And I wonder why the detail is the same as the test mode order… Anyone has similar experience?
Thanks for being part of the community! Yes, this sounds like a scam and you should just avoid it since no real orders went through. Feel free to customize your store further and play around with it - just forget about the email you received.
Thank you for your reply, as i am quite worried as i am new to Shopify, and keep receiving scam mails about “how to boost sales” “improve SEO” …to my “Contact Us” email everyday. Any methods can stop receiving those email?
Report those emails as Spam and leave them in your Junk folder. This should do the work. If the answer was useful, do not forget to Mark it as an accepted solution and like it!
