Through the Collective app, I have products on my page from another store. My store generates a sell of a saw for $450. I never receive $450. I only get 10% and then Shopify gives the other store $396. The customer opens a chargeback and now Shopify tells the bank to pull $450 out of my account.
My store didn’t fulfill the order. The other store fulfill the order and deals with the customer as it is their product.
Shopify is the one in control of the customer’s money. They sent most of it to the other store and left me with 10%.
So shouldn’t the chargeback go to both the stores for the amount that was received?
I won’t be using the Shopfiy Collective app anymore if this is the way it is because I am not even in control of the product and dealing with the customer.
