Chargeback Scam, ZERO support from Shopify and Stripe, I think I'm leaving

A customer received an item from me, KEPT it, and then filed a chargeback for “item not as described”. Shopify strongly suggested an immediate refund to the customer, even though she was keeping a $60 antique vase.

I’m going to spare you my ramblings but suffice it to say, it’s all a scam… and apparently, she’s going to easily get away with it!!

I genuinely and naively believed Shopify would protect me from such clear and obvious scams, especially with proof so clear a monkey could see it.

So here’s the problem: The SECOND she filed the chargeback, I was immediately proactive in stopping it. I supplied all the proof and then some that this was indeed a scam. Here’s where it gets dirty…

If I didn’t check back every TWO days, all of my provided proof would just vanish and I would be labeled as “non responsive.” Yes, you read that right. Every. Two. Days.

This has gone on for over a month and NOW the chargeback is somehow for MORE money!!!

Nobody has spoken more openly and positively about Shopify but this broke me. I think I’m ready to see what everyone’s been saying all along.

Anyone have ANY suggestions?
