If your checkout button stopped working, try these steps:

Open the cart page in a private/incognito window. If it works there, clear your browser cache and cookies.

Open Developer Tools (press F12) and check the Console tab for any red errors when clicking the button.

Think about any recent changes (like new apps or edits to your theme code) and try undoing them.

Switch to a default theme (like Dawn) to see if the issue is theme-related.

Check the cart.liquid or relevant file to make sure the checkout button code is still correct.

Disable any recently added or updated apps one by one and test each time.

If nothing works, contact Shopify Support.
