Ask Phill is a Shopify Plus agency located in Amsterdam. They’ve completed over 30 upgrades to Checkout Extensibility for their clients. A common requirement is implementing different options for delivery methods in checkout, such as pick-up points and local pickup (sometimes referred to as pickup in store, or click and collect).
At Summer Edition, Shopify introduced a couple of new features to enable more delivery options in Checkout Extensibility, such as
- 3P Pickup Points API, now available in early access, which enables you to generate custom pickup points as a delivery option for buyers during checkout
- Store transfers, also in early access, allows you to offer customers a wider selection of products for local pickup by transferring items from other stores or fulfillment centers to their preferred pickup location. Commonly known as Ship to Store fulfillment.
