The development store that you create have to under the Developer preview “Checkout Extensions”

And what about a real store? From your words it looks like it will work on development stores only

Hi @Happiness Only live stores on a Plus subscription are able to use Checkout UI extensions. There is a guide to the checkouts customisation requirements in our documentation here . Hope that helps.

Reinstalled the app and the option finally showed up on the Customizer.

I used the one with Plus subscription but the default welcome message didn’t show up.. Still digging what did I miss but I used the documentation you mentioned.
