Wondering if the community has any insight on this.
We’re having an issue with our clients Shopify store. Typically, when they want to facilitate a custom purchase, they follow these steps: navigate to the website, add the desired item to the cart, proceed to checkout, copy the generated checkout link, and share it with the customer. The customer would then click the link, expecting to see the items they (our client) added in their cart within the checkout page, allowing them to proceed with the purchase seamlessly.
However, recently, we’ve noticed that when they share the checkout link with customers, it redirects them to the homepage instead of preserving the cart items within the checkout page. This problem has arisen suddenly without any recent changes on our agencies part or the client. I am perplexed as to why this issue has emerged and how I can rectify it to restore the smooth checkout experience for their customers.
Ive done some testing on other shopify stores and I don’t see that issue with most. Such as the checkout link I created here https://www.faithtreats.com/checkouts/c/167135c07e9ae1522d6753899c1665bc you all should see the items we added to cart. However our clients link looks like this https://Clientsstore.com/checkouts/cn/c1-13832357cd0bda2b1328997025c241e5/information for me but when clicked or shared with others it redirects to the home page. Any idea how to get the checkout links to /c/ or /sh/ instead of this new way?
