Looking for advice on Shopify + Cin7 Integration and how inventory is allocated to shopify orders… anyone have experience here ?
Topic summary
A user seeks advice on how inventory is allocated to Shopify orders when using the CIN7 Core integration.
Another participant shares their setup using a three-platform integration: Shopify → CIN7 Core → Starshipit.
Their workflow:
- Orders sync from Shopify to CIN7 Core
- CIN7 automatically picks, packs, and invoices orders
- Orders move to “shipping” status and sync to Starshipit
- When labels print in Starshipit, tracking info flows back to CIN7
- Shopify order status updates to “fulfilled” with tracking details
A question was raised about whether CIN7 automates fulfillments, which was confirmed. The original inventory allocation question remains unanswered.
Hi. We have a Shopify > Cin7 Core integration. If you can give me some specific details I might be able to help ![]()
@brettgoodmix as part of your integration, do you have Cin7 automate the fulfillments?
Yes we do. We actually have 3 integrations … Shopify > Cin7 Core > Starshipit.
The orders from Shopify are synced into Cin7 and automatically picked, packed, invoiced, and then sit in the “shipping” status. They are then synced into Starshipit, and when the shipping labels are printed, the tracking info is synced back to Cin7 and then their status is updated in Shopify to “fulfilled” and tracking info updated there as well.
