Clarification on "Manage members" permission in Shopify Partner Dashboard

If a staff member in a Shopify Partner account has the “Manage members” permission, are they allowed to change their own permissions and elevate their access level? The documentation mentions that they can change other members’ permissions, but it’s unclear whether this applies to their own role as well.

Would appreciate clarification from anyone familiar with how this works. Thanks in advance!

If someone has the “Manage members” permission in a Shopify Partner account, they can update other members’ permissions, but they’re not able to change their own access level.

To adjust their own permissions, another team member with the same “Manage members” access would need to make the change. This is in place to make sure no one can increase their own access without approval.

Hello there @Techsangam The powers are limited to only changing other members’ permissions but not elevating personal access. I suggest getting in touch with Shopify support for more information.
