Cm/inches variant selector based on country

Hey! Since i’m creating an ecommerce to sell both to Europe and America items that has different length i also need to create the size variant selector on the product pages of the items… but how can i handle the different unit of measurement?

Is there a solution like the languages that based on the ip address of the visitor it display automatically the right values with the right unit of measurement?

Or is there any other solution that i can implement?

Password to access: Ponte

May be yes with an if condition to check for both countries and render size accordingly

can you tell me more about this?

Trying to “translate” numerical values ontop of labels can just make a big mess as you have to fix it EVERYWHERE in the theme , in checkout, in ads, in notification templates, etc etc etc.

Create separate products can be the simplest sane approach if you don’t know what your doing or can’t afford advanced work.
As separate products this moves the problem to inventory sync to a backend.

Or just use more variants as the limit is now 2048 variants not just 100.
And then as a bonus if not using all 3 options then you can just make country the first option etc.

No need to get all fancy. Just add more variants or products. The US has to deal with metric all the time. I just bought a 1/4” aluminum plate but had to drill and tap m5 holes 25mm apart to fit a china-made rotary.

If you consider creating separate American and European versions of your products, then you would be able to show them to your American or European visitors only:
