Collaborator access for specific products and orders

Hi All,

We are an online retail business using shopify, who does collaborations with influencers and celebrities, whereby we create bespokeproducts in collaboration with them. We have one request which has recently come up from one of our collaborator partners who is looking for ‘complete transparency’ on the amount of orders which take place for the products we sell under the collaboration via shopify. How we have handled this previously with shopify is to generate reports for our collaborators on a monthly/ quarterly basis of the orders generated under the collaboration partnership, but this collaborator partner is looking for something different, whereby they can literally login somewhere and see the amount of orders and revenue due to them live. We are 100% fine with this conceptually, however, we don’t see how to implement this with shopify, or whether it’s possible? We’ve looked at adding her as a user with limited permissions (i.e. set to orders/ products limited only to those created under the collaboration - so they do not have access to anything outside of the collaboration) but it doesn’t appear that shopify allows such user access?..

Any ideas would be much appreciated here as to how to give our collaborator partner the kind of access they are after. Thanks community!

Hi @robbieboy123 .

You can grant collaborator permissions to them and set limited permissions, specifying specific areas they can access (this feature seems to be available only in the Shopify plan).

Additionally, you can consider using apps like Refersion, Affiliatly, etc.

Thanks Amanda. Unfortunately having looked at these apps, neither do what we need here. Normally when we run a collaboration with an influencer or celeb they are okay with us sending reports of orders for the products sold under that collaboration on a quarterly basis, which we do via shopify reporting. However in this case the third party wishes to have access themselves to login somewhere (either an app or shopify) to see what orders have been placed on the specific products falling under the collaboration (which we would create as products and set up in their own collection). Any other ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!
