Issue: I’m using the “Collection list” section on my homepage, but the images are not displaying (showing empty placeholders with titles only), even though I have manually uploaded Collection Images in the admin backend.
I have already tried the following but none worked:
1.Verified that each collection has a “Collection Image” uploaded and is set to “Active”.
2.Toggled “Use the first product image as the collection image” on and off.
3.Changed “Image ratio” between Portrait, Square, and Adapt to image.
4.Saved the settings and cleared browser cache, but the issue persists in both editor and live preview.

Now it would be nice to share your theme name and a link yo your store (with preview password if one is set).
The theme name is Bastion
I haven’t set a preview password.
In my trial theme (7.2.0) this works fine.
You should duplicate your theme, add the problematic section and configure it to repplicate the problem, then share a preview link to this draft theme if you do not want to disturb your live store.
Also, you may first try updating your 7.1.0 theme to the latest 7.20 as they had a relevant fix:
