Collection not showing up

Topic summary

  • Problem: On the online store’s main collections page, clicking any collection (e.g., “bags”) returns to the same collections index instead of loading that collection’s product grid. This prevents viewing the contents of individual collections.

  • Context: The merchant is new to Shopify. They created manual collections (hand-curated product groups) and linked them in the store navigation.

  • Environment: The issue occurs only with the Sense theme. When previewing other themes, the collection links work as expected, indicating a theme-specific problem.

  • Impact: Customers cannot browse specific collection pages in Sense, undermining navigation and merchandising.

  • Status: No workaround or solution has been shared. Assistance is requested; the root cause is not yet identified and the thread remains unresolved.

Hi there, brand new to shopify and this is hopefully an easy fix. I’ve created manual collections in my store. I’ve added them to the menu but when I move on to the collection page on the online store and I click on any of the collections there, instead of it opening up the contents of that particular collection, it doesn’t open up the contents of that particular collection. However, it loads back to the main collection page. Example, when I click on “ bags” on the main collection page, instead of opening that particular collection to display the bags in the collection, it loads back into the main collection page containing the collection I clicked on and the other collections.

i am using the sense theme which is giving me this issue.

however when I preview my store in other themes, this problem doesn’t exist.

the problem only exists in the sense theme.

please help.

thank you .
