Collection pages were not displaying the selected collection image on one Shopify site, while another site worked correctly.
Cause/clarification: The image assigned to a collection is not used as the page’s banner by default. It only appears if the theme’s Collection Banner section is set to show the collection image (the banner is the hero area at the top of the collection page).
How to fix: Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize. Switch the page to a Collection template. Select the Collection banner section and enable “Show collection image.”
Outcome: After enabling the setting, the collection image displayed correctly as the banner.
Status: Resolved; no further issues reported.
Notes: Screenshots in the thread illustrate the exact location of the “Show collection image” toggle within the theme editor.
My site’s collections aren’t showing the image that I select when I create the collection. I have two websites, and the other one is working as intended. Is there some code I need to tweak to ensure they show up on the page?
In this page of customzation youll see in the left that you have a banner(no image) and the product grid. > click collection banner > And on the right you will see this pop-up.

The image you added in the collection page is not the collection banner, it won’t show automatically, unless you enable the collection banner image to show.
Please check in your theme customize Collection page, and enable it here in the Collection Banner section
