Collection/product page breadcrumbs (Dawn Theme)

I’d like to add breadcrumbs at the top of my collection/product pages, something like this

I’m using the Dawn Theme and while searching similar posts I came across this https://ecomexperts.io/blogs/liquid-tutorial-shopify/how-to-add-breadcrumb-navigation-to-your-shopify-store-diy-tutorial-using-code, but then I’m not sure where to add {% render ‘breadcrumbs’ %} in the theme.liquid if that’s what I’m supposed to do.

Or if there are any other easier ways to add breadcrumbs? Any help would be really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi @schikinoils You can try:

• in theme.liquid adding between #MainContent and {{ content_for_layout }}
  • https://github.com/Shopify/dawn/blob/main/layout/theme.liquid#L312
• sections/header.liquid towards the end of the header
  • https://github.com/Shopify/dawn/blob/main/sections/header.liquid#L296
• a custom-liquid section in the theme visual editor for the specific templates you want the breadcrumb to show in.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately none of those options seem to work the way I want it to… let me try and play around with it again and I will come back to you with questions etc. Thanks for now
