We are in the beginning stages of combining our B2B and DTC website but cannot decide if a blended or dedicated store is better. One of the hang ups is coupon usage and I can’t seem to find a definitive answer.
If we have a DTC coupon will B2B customers be able to use it? Essentially, I am worried that by choosing a blended store a B2B customer will be able to use a DTC coupon, discounting their wholesale order.

Discounts in Shopify can be configured for specific customer groups.
When setting up a discount, you have the option to define customer eligibility, allowing you to select a particular customer segment. This means you can ensure that only DTC customers can use a DTC coupon, preventing B2B customers from applying it to their wholesale orders in a blended store setup.
Here’s how you can create a Customer segment for DTC customers:
You can then use that segment when configuring the discount under Customer eligibility:
