Hi,
I have two shipping profiles: one for shirts and one for other items. Our shirts weigh more than our other items and ship from another location, so we want to keep two separate prices for US customers and have them pay the combined (so for example $4 for a shirt + $3.50 for another item = $7.50 total shipping). Shopify does this by default.
For international shoppers, however, I don’t want them to get charged twice (we can have the shirts sent to us and mail all items out together). We have international shipping set to $11 on both profiles, which makes shipping show up as $22 for any international order of a shirt + another item. I only want international customers to have to pay $11 for shipping. So far the best solution I’ve found is to create a discount code that applies only to shirts and takes a fixed amount off the item, but this is not ideal since the cart still displays this as $22 shipping.
Etsy, a horrible platform that we’re in the process of moving off of, allows this function by default. I’m really shocked Shopify doesn’t allow more granular control of shipping without having to install third-party apps that cost upward of $20 a month - this is simply not feasible for my small business when we only need it to cover for rare situations. If anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate it.
