I have been able to combine my Free Shipping code with all product and order discounts. The only time that hasnt held true has been when the customer uses the welcome offer (first time customer). In this scenario the customer pays for shipping even though its over the threshold.
Has anyone else had this problem?
If yes, what has been the solution?
Are you using an app that’s automatically generating the welcome offer discount?
If yes, then see if the settings allow you to generates each discount code such that it combines with Shipping discounts. If you review any of your existing welcome discounts, you’ll probably see that this box isn’t checked.
Using Shopify’s Discount Functions order and free shipping together can be created, which offer more flexibility through custom logic at checkout but they require development work using sing discount code.
