Hi everyone, i have a simple problem but i can’t manage to solve it.
I have set a “discounted” price for my products, and the compare-to-price one. i.e. 19,90 and 28,90…
It works just fine if i set US or UK or whatever as my shipping country, when i enter the website.
Although i have a bug if i set italy (my country, the country where the store is based). In this case, it just shows the discounted price, as a regular price (black font) and no compare-to-price value.
I kinda did… I simply uninstalled the Geolocalizaton app which is by default when you create a shopify store. It probably generated an issue with my currency converter app. It’s the best solution cause I actually dont need to know the shipping location of the user
The issue is actually caused by a change in EU law. It’s taken some time but if you Navigate through Settings > Markets, then click on Preferences for any market containing a European Union country.
You will then see a setting ‘Hide compare-at prices for European Economic Area (EEA) customers’ by default this is on, if you disable this your sale prices will work again.
Hi, is this only possible via desktop view? I am editing via mobile at the moment as I am away from home and can’t find settings > markets > preferences.
Hello! I know this is a very old post but I found it looking for the answer to the same question, just that this solution doesn’t seem to work for me since I’m having that same problem with all countries except my primary market. The compare price is not showing for example to Canada or Australia. I already changed preferences and is not working, not even with EU countries.. hope you can help me or someone because this can affect a lot in my sales since I have an offer active and customers can’t see the discounted price. Thank you!!!
In Markets, go to international or your market created.
Under Products and pricing untick the checkbox as shown above.
Then you will be able to see compare at price.
Hope it helps someone.
