Hi,
Our Shopify Store has been targeted by our main competitors in a series sabotage campaigns.
By submitting bogus/false copyright infringement complaints, they attempt to get our account disabled.
They have consistently submit bogus/false copyright infringement complaints on Shopify’s official forms:
https://help.shopify.com/en/legal/dmca#/form
https://help.shopify.com/en/legal/trademark-infringement#/form
In each and every case, we have filed counter notice, however to no avail, our account is still disabled.
Thus, we might have no choice but to counter: using the same tactics against our competition and file copyright complaints against their account.
Since there is no due diligence on the validity of such bogus/false copyright infringement complaints, there is no punishment for bad behaviors.
The natural conclusion for any upstanding Shopify Merchant is to file bogus/false copyright infringement complaints blindly just to save their account from Shopify’s blindness.
Please take the above information into consideration.

If you feel like my answer is helpful, please mark it as a SOLUTION. Let me know if you have any questions
I’m running into a similar problem with Shopify. I received an email from Shopify, accusing me of trademark infringement on an official product we sell on our site, one that requires no authorization from the manufacturer. Shopify has provided ZERO documentation to support any infringement other than their own policies, even after several requests from me.
My store is currently closed by Shopify, simply based on someone’s arrogance deciding they don’t need to answer reasonable questions.
I was advised to go to US Copyright site and register a DMCA agent for my website. The issue is the Shopify is a DMCA agent, so they have a responsibility to take action, even if the claim is false. If you get your own agent for your site, the notifications of “infringement” will get sent to your agent vs. Shopify. Or shopify will forward it to your designated agent. As long as Shopify is the DMCA for your website, they bear the liability, so to protect themselves, they issue the takedown notices. https://www.bhandlaw.com/yes-your-website-needs-a-dmca-agent-heres-why/
