I’m really struggling here.
I use shopify POS for my high street store, and sell online, and I’m trying to find a way to download a complete transaction CSV which includes cash payments, and ALSO includes the fees charged when someone pays via card. My accountant needs this for our VAT return.

Here’s the clearest way to get what your accountant needs:
1/ To get cash + card transactions:
Go to Shopify Admin > Analytics > Reports > Finances Summary
This gives you a breakdown of total sales by payment type (cash, card, etc.)
You can also click into Finances > Payments to get a daily breakdown by method
2/ To get fees from card payments:
Go to Settings > Payments > View payouts (under Shopify Payments)
Click Export in the top right
Choose “All payouts” or a custom date range
The exported CSV includes net amount, fees, and gross for each payout
Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in single report that combines transaction data and fees in one file, but using these two exports together should give your accountant everything they need. If you want to automate this or simplify it, apps like TrueProfit can help, but if you want to stick with native tools, combining the above exports in a spreadsheet works well.
@HBIronbridge , Yes, Shopify does not provide a single report for this. You’ll either need to check each order manually to view the transaction and payout fees or download multiple reports and combine them. To access a detailed breakdown in one report—showing order details, payout commission fees, transaction fees, and more—you may consider using third-party applications like Report Pundit that offer comprehensive reporting features.
