I am having difficulty with my Google merchant account verification, as it was initially completed when I was signed into my personal email account by error. I am now trying to have it verified under my proper business profile and have run into issues at every angle. So many links to instructions that I end up in the same place I began. How do I unlink and try again?!
Hello Sonorous, thank you for your question. Never unlink and try again, because 1 merchant can only have 1 account. If you setup another account, you will most likely get a permanent ban.
There should be no issues with changing info, because there is no such concept as personal vs business, in terms of adding information. Only at the stage to verify your identity do you need to choose which method you want to select for verification purposes.
So ensure that your business or personal information is correct here: https://merchants.google.com/mc/merchantprofile/businessinfo
Then when you submit your id verification, that it is 100% the same and official government issues documents.
