Connecting a domain that is already connect to another Shopify store

Hello, @JaeTak .

Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention!

It looks like you’re trying to connect a **shop.**myshopify.com URL to another account. However, it’s important to note that Shopify URLs like this are attached to the account and cannot be removed/transferred. If you’d like to continue using the ‘made-sportswear.myshopify.com’ URL, then you and/or your partner would need to consider reactivating the older account. Otherwise, we’d recommend simply opening a new account and you can create a different variation of that URL (eg. ‘madesportswear.myshopify.com’).

That being said, if you are referring to a third-party or Shopify-purchased domain, then you can either remove the domain and connect it to a different account or transfer a Shopify-purchased domain to another store or domain provider. However, if you do not wish to reactivate the old store, then removing a third-party or Shopify-purchased domain is something that we can help you with. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Simply visit the Shopify Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request. Once we can verify the ownership of the domain, our support team will be able to help you remove it from your closed/frozen account.

I’d love to hear more about your new business! What kinds of products are you looking to sell? Do you have a marketing plan prepared for your business?
