Constant spam marketing emails

I recently launched my store and I am now getting far too many marketing spam emails that don’t come through the contact form but directly to my email (which is not on the contact form or website). Is this normal and how do I stop it?

Yep. It’s normal. We all get those. Eventually they will be less frequent until you get only a couple per week. You can’t stop it, you’re on a public domain now so your email is public information. Best suggestion is to just mark as spam and delete. Also you should consider a business email that’s associated with the domain. After you authenticate it, those spam should go there.

It’s totally ridiculous right now. I’m getting one about every 2-3 minutes.
I guess it’s good to know that it happens to everyone and I sure hope it drops off, but this is terrible on Shopify’s part.

I do understand what you mean, but I find those verifier messages annoying when I come across them myself. I’ll stick it out for now and see if they drop off in frequency.
