Ive read the previous solutions but am getting confused with which code to look at. Contact form is returning “Email is invalid” despite changing all to text field for testing, emails are correct etc etc

To clarify, did you add this contact form to your site by following these steps? If so, can you please confirm exactly how this error is appearing on your end? If you can share a screenshot of how this looks with me here, I can take a closer look into this.
In the meantime though, have you tried entering an email address into this form that isn’t associated with your Shopify account at all? You can test this by using a back up email address of your own, or asking a friend or family member to try their email address instead. If this error still appears when entering in an email address that isn’t already listed on your store, please let me know and I’ll be happy to continue investigating this on our end.
If you coded this form onto your theme instead though, and if you’re comfortable with making coding changes on your own, then I recommend checking out this forum post for more details.
