I have a Content API sending products from Shopify to my Google Merchant Centre account. I understand this is a push system from Shopify > GMC.
Since integration I have updated GTIN (barcodes) into Shopify. BUT as yet the GTIN information is not updating on GMC. I could do them all manually, however with over 1600+ individual SKU needing this fix I obviously don’t have the time.
How do I know when Shopify will push and therefore update the GTIN?
Is there a mechanism to manually ‘push’ the API from Shopify>GMC?

Yes this is a known issue with the free shopping app, and it is known for nearly 1 year. Unfortunately, Shopify has not fixed it, and as it has been nearly a year, I doubt they will.

Thanks for your response. It seems a regular response to what I would consider standard functionality. Shopify appears to accept a solution is required, and is grateful for suggestions, but no solutions ever seem to happen.

As I work for my clients, and also share info on this community, I change the way I think. I resolve issues by finding ways how to fix them if there is no straight forward method.
Long time ago 10+ years ago, I had the same mindset as you, and back then I had lots of issues with Google not having simple straight forward methods or fixing specific issues. I learned to instead of trying to force Google to fix issues, with sometimes takes 6+ months, simply find ways to resolve them using other methods.
This comes to the benefit of my clients then only needing to wait a few days, rather than months.
Of course, I do recommend you to contact Shopify, and ask them to fix the app.
Another way to deal with it (instead of relying on the app) is to match up the ShopifyID with each GTIN and upload it directly into Google Merchant as a Google sheet (Excel or CSV file).
